The Training Center

The Believer's Institute for Biblical Studies (BIBS) was established with the idea of becoming a training center for preachers, teachers, and those interested in Christian service.  The leadership of Dr. Edward McAbee and the staff exemplifies a Christ-like spirit of diligence to "go the second mile" to help train others for the ministry.  The institute was founded in 1969 and is now affiliated with the Victory Baptist College of North Augusta, SC.  Dr. McAbee has been preaching over 50 years and has been the pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC since 1962.

Our culture and society today is a breeding ground for anti-God, anti-Christ, and anti-Church philosophies that have grown out of a lack of God-centered, Holy Spirit-empowered preaching.  The leadership of BIBS believes that the hope for this generation is old-fashioned preaching.  Men and women entering BIBS can expect a program established and proven by standards for Godly living.  By the Grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, we desire to train men and women for God's glory!
